An unauthorised encampment in Amesbury has been lawfully moved following work by Wiltshire Police and Amesbury Town Council.
Police said in a statement, "Residents expressed concerns around the incursion, which arrived on Thursday (30th August) and consisted of around 20 vehicles at Bonnymead Park.
"After liaising with the landowner and communicating with those trespassing on the site, we used powers under section 61 of the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act to direct people and vehicles to leave the area.
"This was enforced on Sunday afternoon (3rd September) with all persons leaving the site. Work is now underway with the council to prevent further occurrences happening in future. "
