Two Salisbury pubs to reopen under local landlords

Two Salisbury pubs in Salisbury are set to reopen under landlords who already run pubs in Salisbury.

The Anchor and Hope and The Salisbury Arms are set to reopen in the coming days with a new take on what has been there before.

Reece Brown, who runs the Royal George on Bedwin Street, is also taking on the Anchor and Hope on Winchester Street. He hopes to bring something a little bit different to the venue.

The pub has gone over an interior makeover and now has an 80s feel with geometric patterns on the ceiling, and entertainment will include circus routines, amongst other things.

Taking over The Salisbury Arms is the current proprietors of the Horse and Groom on Wilton Road.

Rosie and Charles intend to turn the pub into a 'funky cocktail bar', which will be open for longer hours than some of the other cocktail venues in Salisbury and serve a bottomless brunch and will be looking to create a nice atmosphere where everyone feels welcome.

Both venues plan to open to the public this Friday (7th July) evening.
