Salisbury came away from league champions Chesham United with no points after a 2-1 defeat.
Noah Coppin had given Salisbury hope in the second half as he equalised from the spot, but a former White denied Brian Dutton's side a point.
Salisbury paid their respects to newly crowned league champions Chesham United with a guard of honour as the run-away league leaders emerged from the changing rooms.
The home side took an early lead as former White Lafleur crossed well from the left, finding Bradley Clayton, who applied the finish after 10 minutes.
Chesham United have been undefeated at home since September, and it's clear why. They are a well-organised side, and Salisbury were unable to break them down in the first half.
Salisbury started the second half well and equalised just after the hour mark, Noah Coppin converting from the spot at 65 minutes.
Salisbury were hoping to get something from the game as their playoff push continued, but Chesham grabbed the winner.
Alex Lafluer went from provider to goal scorer. On 67 minutes, he grabbed what turned out to be the winner after showing some good feet to make space before firing into the far corner.
Salisbury remain in the third place in the table, now one point behind Gosport Borough, who won their game. Totton closed the gap to just one point behind them in fourth, they also have a game in hand over the Whites.
Up next for Salisbury is Thursday's trip for the rearranged trip to Plymouth Parkway.
