"With a deep understanding of the BID’s operations and a passion for the city’s economic growth, Ellie will now lead the organisation through its next phase. She takes over from Robin McGowan, who successfully led the BID for 12 years".

The BID's new CEO, said, “Salisbury’s business community is the heartbeat of our city, and I’m so proud to be stepping into this post to continue championing business voice. The BID plays a vital role in supporting and advocating for local businesses, and I’m committed to listening, collaborating and delivering meaningful impact. I’m excited to work alongside our fantastic team, Board of Directors and partners to help shape a vibrant and resilient future for Salisbury.”

Eleanor will be working with Elizabeth Coombes (Chair), Rachel Tribbeck (Vice Chair), and the BID’s Board of Directors to ensure Salisbury 'remains a thriving destination for businesses, visitors, and residents'.

Salisbury BID is funded by around 500 businesses that operate in the city centre with a rateable value of £12,000 or more. These businesses were eligible to vote in the BID’s renewal ballot; there was a 60% turnout for the last vote in 2023.

Elizabeth Coombes, Chair of Salisbury BID and Owner of Artisan Wine & Spirit Co., added, “Ellie has been instrumental in shaping Salisbury’s strategic direction. Her expertise in place marketing, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery makes her the ideal person to lead the BID forward.
