New ASB action plan welcomed by PCC

Wiltshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner has welcomed a refreshed plan to tackle anti-social behaviour across the county.

Philip Wilkinson says the new action plan will take a more proactive and consistent approach to preventing and reducing incidents.

The strategy, published by Wiltshire Police, focuses on strengthening neighbourhood policing, improving visibility and supporting vulnerable people.

Anti-social behaviour remains one of the most common concerns raised by residents in Wiltshire and Swindon.

The plan highlights issues including vandalism, street drinking, nuisance driving and youth disorder.

It also recognises the impact on both urban and rural communities, where people can feel isolated and vulnerable.

The approach will involve closer working between police, local councils, housing providers and other organisations.

Residents are being encouraged to report anti-social behaviour through 101, online or anonymously via Crimestoppers.

The plan also promises improved communication with communities through regular updates and engagement events.

Officials say the aim is to ensure communities feel safer, supported and listened to.
