A man has been charged in connection with a fatal collision on the A303 on Sunday (29th June).
Nicholas Blackbeard, 66, of Cok Ngurah, Gambir, Bali, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and serious injury by dangerous driving.
He appeared at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (01/07), where he was bailed. He is next due to appear at Salisbury Crown Court on July 30th for a plea hearing.
The charges relate to a collision involving a Citroën C5 and three motorcycles in the Charnage Hill area, near Mere, at around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday.
One of the motorcyclists, a man in his 60s, was sadly declared dead at the scene.
