At around 2.25pm today (23rd September 2022) Wiltshire Police were called to a fear for welfare incident at Sainsbury's in Salisbury.
Speaking to Love Salisbury, an incident witness said, "A young lad was sitting above the arch by the entrance to The Maltings Car Park. He had climbed over the barrier and he was dangling his legs.
"There were two ladies talking to him, we were quite concerned for his welfare."
Wiltshire Police confirmed that the incident was resolved safely. An 18-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of possessing a bladed article in a public place.
