Salisbury Pride has seen a boost to their funds for this year's Salisbury Pride Festival.
On Thursday evening (10th March 2022), the Salisbury Pride team successfully secured some much-needed funding from grant applications to Salisbury City Council and Salisbury Area board.
The group have also received an award from The Community Fund on behalf of the National Lottery receiving £9,580.00 of funding.
The James Hay Partnership, based on St Paul's Road, Salisbury have also given their support for the second year in a row.
A spokesperson for the Salisbury Pride team said, "It is important that Pride events are supported financially by businesses and working in partnerships with key stakeholders such as local Councils to be truly representative of the residents who elect the councillors. We want Salisbury to be inclusive for everyone and ensure they are welcomed.
"We are sorry to hear that Swindon and Wiltshire Pride has been cancelled this year but hope our event in the south of the country will along with other smaller WIltshire Pride events draw the crowds and give us chance to raise funds for future events to aid long term financial stability."
