Three leaders at Amesbury Scout Group have been recognised for their 'outstanding service' by the Scouting Association.
The three leaders were presented with medals, certificates, and a badge for their conscientious, imaginative, and dedicated service over a sustained period of at least 10 years.
Steve Pike, the group's Scout Leader, has held many roles within the group before tackling many of the unseen jobs that take place behind the scenes, including fundraising.
Thank's to his work, the group has a new kitchen and toilets at their scout hut, and the current fundraising effort is for new flooring.
Mikey Thompson (Hawk) is the group's longest-serving leader, and despite mobility issues, fully participates in scouting activities and always has time for each and every Cub in the pack.
Tanya Gamble, the Cub pack leader, has repeatedly shown exceptional leadership and capability. Her contributions during the lockdown are particularly noteworthy. She organised Zoom sessions and devised a comprehensive home programme to keep the cubs engaged, which parents at the time highly valued
The trio were presented with their awards after a Cubs meeting last night (9th March) by the District Lead.
