South West-based homelessness charity ALABARÉ is urging job seekers to start 2026 with a career that changes lives, as demand for ethical jobs rises.
January is the busiest month for job changes, and the charity is calling on job seekers to embrace a ‘New Year, New Career’ with purpose.
According to Totaljobs, 4 million people (11% of the UK workforce) look for new roles at the start of the year, while research from Cooperatives UK shows 40% of younger workers would quit a job lacking social value.
ALABARÉ say they offer exactly that: careers that make a tangible difference by supporting over 3,200 vulnerable individuals annually across the South West and Wales, helping to break the cycle of homelessness and improve mental health.
Current vacancies include full-time, part-time, and volunteer roles spanning mental health, learning disabilities, young people, and homelessness in Wiltshire and Hampshire, as well as governance roles supporting the Board of Trustees.
Andrew Lord, Chief Executive of ALABARÉ, said, “Seeing in 2026 brings an opportunity to refresh our life goals with a New Year, New Career. What better way to make a real difference than joining us to deliver person-centred support that transforms lives?”
Why choose ALABARÉ?
- Award-winning charity that has been recognised for its excellence in homelessness, mental health, veterans' work and supporting adults with learning disabilities
- Flexible working hours and locations for better work-life balance
- Inclusive recruitment and collaborative culture
- An organisation that is growing its impact to meet the current homelessness crisis
ALABARÉ believes the key to providing the best support for clients is having the best support for colleagues - setting high standards and creating an environment where people thrive.
Start 2026 with a career that changes lives.
