Workshop 'igniting' creativity returns to Salisbury

Ignite, an informal workshop set up to explore creativity and a place for people who work in creative industries in Salisbury and the surrounding area to gather returns next week.

The brainchild of local artist and architect Tim Scrace, the man behind the sculpture that appeared on the high street a couple of years ago, is open to anyone with a creative interest.

They are calling all creative businesses, artists and freelancers to join them at The Old Fire Station on Salt Lane in Salisbury on Friday 24th February.

Tim said: "Join us for an afternoon session, discussing the value creativity can bring to a variety of businesses, problems and people.

"We’ll be talking to creatives about how we can, as a collective, showcase the potential of our creative community."

During this workshop, themes will include:

- What do you do that is of value? - What should we be valuing? - How much should we be selling our talents for? - How do you communicate value in your business/offering?

With themed talks from local creative entrepreneurs and artists, they hope the event will inspire you, as under-valued creatives, to put real value to your skills, charge the right fees and become more confident in making a positive impact.

As the event is informal, people can pop in and out as business and life allow.

Tim added, "If you think you have something that would be of value to add or are simply interested in speaking about something that you are passionate about, then please let me know."
