Wiltshire NHS workers invited to classical concert this weekend

NHS workers in Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire are being offered the chance to enjoy an open-air concert by classical music superstar Katherine Jenkins this weekend.

A Celebration of Speed is a charity event to raise much-needed funds for children’s hospice Naomi House & Jacksplace, and Race Against Dementia, a charity founded by F1 legend Sir Jackie Stewart.

The summer proms concert will take place on Sunday 22nd August at Embley, near Romsey, and will feature a night of classical music and musical theatre with performances from Katherine Jenkins and a special appearance from West End Star John Owen-Jones.

Event organiser Mike Turnbull said: “We’re all so thankful to everyone within the NHS for the incredible work that they do, particularly during the difficult times over the past 18 months. With that in mind, we’ve decided to provide a number of free tickets for NHS staff who’d like to enjoy a Katherine Jenkins Proms concert.

“Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis but we hope to welcome as many NHS heroes and a guest as possible to enjoy an amazing evening out in stunning surroundings.”

To apply for tickets, NHS workers are asked to register using their NHS email address here.

The final tickets for the A Celebration of Speed are still available to purchase online by clicking here.
