Wiltshire Council invites parents and carers of children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to join a webinar later this month to learn about the support and activities available to them and their children during the summer holidays.
The session will offer advice, support and suggestions on activities that families can enjoy over the summer break.
The webinar will discuss various opportunities, including inclusive sports and sensory experiences, and provide information about the council’s FUEL programme, which supports children and young people eligible for free school meals.
The webinar is on 11th June from 6pm to 7pm and will be held via Microsoft Teams. Participants are encouraged to download the Teams app in advance to ensure a smooth experience.
If you wish to attend, you are asked to sign up using the survey link SEND summer holiday support.
Questions for the webinar can be submitted during the sign-up process. People can submit their questions by 5 pm on Monday, 9th June. Any questions received after this date may not be answered in the webinar.
Cllr Jon Hubbard, Cabinet Member for Children Services, Education and Skills said: “We understand that the summer holidays can be both an exciting and challenging time for children with SEND and their families. To help navigate this period, we’re inviting parents and carers to join our upcoming webinar, where we’ll share information about the support available and highlight a range of inclusive activities available in Wiltshire”.
