Vehicles have been damaged after items have been thrown from a footbridge over the A303.
Police in Amesbury responded to two reports of young people throwing items from the footbridge between Ratfyn Road and Ratfyn Farm onto the A303. On both occasions, vehicles have been struck, causing damage.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said, "Aside from the damage, this behaviour is extremely dangerous as it risks causing serious accidents on a fast road.
"On the second occasion, officers from the Amesbury Neighbourhood and Response teams stopped a small group of young people nearby, and enquiries are ongoing, but we are asking for help from anyone using the A303 at the times in question to help us in ascertaining what has happened.
"If you were driving on the A303 past Amesbury in either direction at around 16:08 on 16th October, or around 14:02 on 21st October and have dashcam footage of anyone on the footbridge, please contact us at AmesburyAreaNPT@wiltshire.police.uk, quoting crime reference number 54260127238."
