Three charge with poaching near Amesbury

Three men have been charged with poaching following an incident near the A303, Amesbury yesterday afternoon (29th October).

Police received reports of men suspected of illegally trying to catch rabbits in fields just south of Stonehenge.

Lewis Hughes, 26, of no fixed abode, Jack Cooper, 21, of Romsey and James Kempster, 36, of Southampton, were all charged with daytime trespass in pursuit of game under S30 of the Game Act.

They have been released on bail and are due at Salisbury Magistrates Court next month; Hughes and Cooper are due to appear on November 21, while Kempster is due to appear on November 24.
