The union flag is flying at Salisbury Guildhall today to mark 40 years since the end of the Falklands conflict

Salisbury City Council is flying the union flag today (14th June 2022) to commemorate all service personnel who were impacted by the Falklands War, which ended 40 years ago today (14th June 1982).

The Mayor of the City of Salisbury, Cllr Tom Corbin, or his representative, will be attending a short service of remembrance at the War Memorial, Salisbury at 8pm, which will be hosted by The Salisbury Royal Naval Association and the Salisbury and Amesbury Veterans Breakfast Club, and the public are welcome to attend.

The Deputy Mayor will also be attending the Boscombe Down Aviation Collection “The Falklands Remembered” ceremony on the morning of Tuesday 14th June 2022 to mark the occasion.
