The Maltings has teamed up with Salisbury’s local radio station and online news outlet to showcase the wide range and variety of local stores they have available.
The partnership will create some exciting opportunities for prize giveaways during the summer as part of live outside broadcasts, providing the tenants of The Maltings with the chance to advertise their businesses on the radio and on lovesalisbury.co.uk.
The collaboration will take a ‘partnership working’ approach allowing smaller, owner-managed businesses to get the benefit of being part of the Centre while accessing the wider audience who are listening to Salisbury Radio.
Mark Freeman, Centre Manager of The Maltings commented, “I like the fact that Love Salisbury is a local radio station - it is not part of a national concern. It is about the people of Salisbury and I would like to think that The Maltings is the same, so it is great to enter into this partnership.
“It’s very much a community here and it’s a community that has been through a lot over the past few years with the Novichok poisonings and the pandemic. Now we have made it out to the other side and it is very nice to be part of that. Now, I look forward to being part of and sharing that with the Love Salisbury community too.
“I will also be encouraging the shop owners to tune into Salisbury Radio on DAB,” added Mark.
Salisbury Radio’s Managing Director David Harber added, “It’s such a pleasure working with Mark and his team at the Maltings. We look forward to being able to remind listeners of the Centre’s tranquil riverside location, but give shop owners the chance to talk about their own businesses.
“Salisbury is lucky to have such a lovely shopping centre and we are especially keen to be working with Mark on ways to drive footfall into the Centre, encourage shop browsing and of course, purchases.”
