Christians across the Diocese of Salisbury gathered for early morning services to mark Easter.
At Salisbury Cathedral, worshippers attended the Easter Vigil before dawn, taking part in a traditional service that included the lighting of the Easter Candle.
The ceremony marks the beginning of Easter celebrations in the Christian calendar and was attended by members of the cathedral community and visitors.
During the service, 8 people were confirmed as part of the church ceremony.
Confirmation is a step in the Christian faith where individuals publicly affirm their beliefs.
Church leaders across the Diocese of Salisbury say the number of confirmations has increased significantly over the past year.
They say the rise reflects growing interest in church life and participation in services across the wider diocese.
