Over £16,000 has been donated for tree collections locally, with the money helping Salisbury Hospice Charity.
There is still time to register your real tree for collection in the coming weeks.
In return for a donation, a fabulous team of dedicated volunteers will collect and recycle your tree.
The collection helps local charities and the environment, as trees are chipped and recycled on local farms as animal feed or turned into compost.
Unlike other collections, 90% of the money raised (after costs) from this collection will go to Salisbury Hospice Charity, and 10% will be distributed amongst charities in the community.
The collection runs between the 13th and 15th of January and has expanded this year. Salisbury Hospice Charity will be collecting from postcodes SP1, SP2, SP3, SP4, SP5, SP6, SP7 SP9, and (new for this year) SP11 7, SP11 8, SO20 6, SO20 8.
The Christmas Tree Collection is run in partnership with JustHelping.
JustHelping supports volunteers, businesses and charities to contribute to their community and the environment. Their national Christmas tree collection raises essential funds for hospices and communities.
To have your tree collected and recycled after the festive season, register it at www.charityxmastreecollection.com by 8th January 2023.
This year’s collection is proudly sponsored by Step Associates.
