Sarum Lights 2025 ready to explore 'Lost Worlds'

Thousands of tickets have already been sold for Salisbury Cathedral’s popular light and sound show experience, Sarum Lights.

This year’s theme is ‘Lost Worlds’ and is open between Tuesday 4^th and Saturday 8th November.

Visitors wishing to book the Tuesday night can benefit from an ‘Opening Night Offer’ of £10 per ticket; giving visitors the opportunity of being one of the first to see the new dynamic show.

Supported by local solicitors Trethowans, organisers say, “Sarum Lights will transform both the exterior, interior and cloisters of the Cathedral, filling them with dazzling light, dynamic soundscapes and breathtaking projection installation, illuminating the architecture of the spectacular medieval building”.

This year’s theme will explore ‘Lost Worlds’, beginning with imagery from the ancient civilisations of Europe, while the cloisters will be illuminated with cave paintings and intricate patterns drawn from early cultures. Inside the Cathedral, light and sound will transport you from the Garden of Eden to the Middle Ages of the Church. Legendary lost worlds, from Atlantis to Troy, will also come to life in breathtaking displays of colour and motion.

As well as the usual stunning visuals and sounds, there will also be the addition of an interactive installation called Illuminated Ages, where visitors will be encouraged to write about something important they have lost or found, or add colour to a decorated letter, inspired by the beautiful designs found in medieval manuscripts. This display will grow and change throughout the week.

Sarum Lights: Lost Worlds runs from Tuesday 4th – Saturday 8th November 2025 from 5.30pm each evening - with 15-minute timed entry slots available.

Tickets are £12 for adults (£10 on the opening night) and £6 for children. They can be purchased from www.salisburycathedral.org.uk.

‘Low sound screenings’ for those visitors who would welcome a quieter experience are available from 5.30pm-6.30pm on Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 5th November.
