Salisbury's Tiger store to close

The Tiger store in Salisbury is to close just before Christmas; it has been confirmed.

The Danish homeware store has been in Salisbury since 2015 but will close on December 24th.

A poster has been put in the shop window saying, "It's time to say goodbye, Salisbury."

Mike Burke, UK Managing Director of Flying Tiger Copenhagen, said: "I can confirm that our Salisbury store will close on December 24.

"As a global retailer, we constantly assess our store portfolio and adjust accordingly, which means both store openings in new locations and store closures from time to time.

"We have enjoyed our many years in Salisbury and would like to thank our customers for shopping with us and hope to see them again in one of our other locations."

There have been some changes to Salisbury's shopping recently, with Wilding announcing its closure and Pritchett's butchers moving out of the shop it has occupied for over 150 years.

Along with the closures and moving shops, there has been good news with the announcement of new stores and others that are already open.
