Salisbury slip up at Bracknell

Salisbury's run of results on artificial pitches continued with a 2-1 defeat away at Bracknell Town.

Brian Dutton gave a debut to new goalkeeper Harry Lee, who signed earlier in the week on loan from Exeter City. He is with the club until the end of the season.

Lee was forced into early action as he was tested by Joe Grant's shot; he dealt with it well, producing a good save.

He couldn't keep Grant at bay just past the halfway mark of the first half, though. He latched on to an Ashley Lodge through ball before smashing his shot into the back of the net from ten yards to give the home side the lead.

The home side led 1-0 at the break, but it didn't take long for Salisbury to draw level at the start of the second period. A good through-ball found Dan Fitchett, who made no mistake and slotted home.

As the game headed toward its conclusion, there was a late winner for Bracknell. Anthony Cheshire rose highest to head home with just five minutes left on the clock.

Salisbury were unable to get back on terms and brought no points back to the Ray Mac.

The Whites return to the Ray Mac this weekend as they welcome Poole Town on Saturday for a 3 pm kick-off.
