Salisbury sign former Walsall midfielder

Salisbury have added former Walsall midfielder Sam Perry to their ranks.

The 21-year-old has also had loan spells at Yeovil Town in the National League and Leamington in the National North.

Salisbury have bolstered their midfield after Tom Bragg was stretchered off following a knee injury, not long after returning from injury, against Dorchester Town.

The defensive midfielder signs from Waterford FC in the League of Ireland Premier Division.

Perry was voted Supporters Young Player of the Season at Walsall at the end of the 2020/21 season and is a product of the Aston Villa youth system.

Salisbury Manager Brian Dutton told the club website: "I am delighted to get Sam across the line. I think Sam will be a fantastic addition to the group. He’s a defensive midfielder who also has excellent qualities in possession.

"Sam is a player I know well, having given him his debut at Walsall in the Football League. I’m sure the fans will enjoy watching Sam play this season.
