Salisbury's MP has visited Winterbourne Earls Primary School and answered children's questions on a range of subjects.
Headteacher Philippa Carter and Head of Governors Adrian Burrows showed Mr Glen around the school, visiting every classroom from the youngest in Year R to Year 6.
The children spoke confidently, telling Mr Glen why they liked their school and explaining what they had been doing in class or where they had been on school trips. The Year 6 children talked enthusiastically about their week-long residential trip to Braeside just a couple of weeks ago.
Mr Glen then took questions in an assembly with all the children from Key Stage 2, answering questions on a range of subjects, including facilities for young people in Salisbury to how he became elected to be Salisbury's MP.
He was then invited to tea, coffee, and cake with the school's student council, which is made up of two pupils from each class who help make decisions within the school. Each child is elected by their classmates for a year-long term on the council.
Mr Glen answered more questions from the student councillors, including one about free school meals and free fruit only being provided to those in KS1 and early years classes.
Mr Glen commented during his visit about what a friendly, happy school Winterbourne Earls is and how he had enjoyed his visit.
