Salisbury will play Slough Town in the third qualifying round of the FA Cup after the draw was announced yesterday (Monday, 18th September).
Salisbury thrashed Mousehole AFC 5-0 on Saturday to secure their place in this round, picking up £3375 in prize money in doing so. Prior to that, Salisbury beat Bridgwater United in the first qualifying round.
Slough Town, who play in the National League South, a league above Salisbury, knocked out Hayes and Yeading, winning 2-0 away from home. This was their first game in the competition.
Slough have had a mixed start to their season and currently sit 20th in the league, having picked up 9 points from their opening nine games of the season.
Salisbury are still yet to be beaten so far this term, have made a great start under Brian Dutton, and will be looking forward to testing themselves against higher league opposition.
The game is scheduled to be played on Saturday, 30th September, with a 3 pm kick-off.
