Remembrance Sunday Parade and Service in Salisbury

The city of Salisbury is set to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country at its Annual Remembrance Sunday Service at the War Memorial in Salisbury Market Place on Sunday, 13 November 2022, from 11 am.

The ceremony will be led by the Salisbury Branch of the Royal British Legion and supported by Salisbury City Council and St Thomas’s Church.

Everyone will gather at the War Memorial for a 2-minute silence at 11 am followed by prayers.

Following this, the parade will march along New Canal, where Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire William Wyldbore-Smith, accompanied by the Right Worshipful Mayor Cllr Tom Corbin, will take the salute. The parade will then process to St. Thomas’s Church for the Sunday Service at 11.40 am. All are welcome to attend this service. The Civic Party will then process back to Salisbury Guildhall via St Thomas’ Square.

Blue Boar Row and other roads along the parade route will be shut to traffic between 10.15 am and 11.45 am and again at 12.15 pm until 1.30 pm approximately to ensure crowd safety and traffic diversions will be in place.

On Friday, 11 November 2022, there will be a small ceremony in the Guildhall Square at 11 am to mark Armistice Day, which all are welcome to attend.
