Earlier this afternoon (2nd March) we were warned to stay away from the River Avon near Ashley Road after the discovery of a suspected historic munition.
After an inspection, it was found that the device, thought to be from the World War 2 era, was found not to contain explosives.
Police quickly removed the cordon as there was no risk to the public.

"An Explosive Ordnance Disposal team is currently at the site to make an assessment.
"We ask that members of the public avoid the area and respect the cordon that has been put in place for public safety.
