Wiltshire Police have arrested and charged a man in connection with a knife-point robbery which took place in Amesbury on Saturday morning (7th December).
At around 11.40 am, the suspect went into the One Stop in Sandell Place, Amesbury, and threatened the staff with a knife while demanding cash from the tills.
He left with around £80 in cash. There were no injuries.
A man in his 20s has now been arrested and charged a man following a knifepoint robbery at the One Stop in Sandell Place, Amesbury, yesterday morning (07/12).
Alfie Hough, 25, of no fixed abode, has been charged with one count of robbery and two counts of possession of a bladed article in a public place.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Salisbury Magistrates’ Court today (9th December).
DC Martyn Powell of South CID said: “This was a terrifying incident for the staff where they were threatened with a knife.
“Wiltshire Police are treating this matter as a serious incident."
