Yesterday, (14th June 2022) members of the veteran community came together to remember the 255 British Service personnel who lost their lives during the Falklands War.

The ceremony marked the 40th Anniversary of the end of The Falklands War and the liberation of the Falkland Islands, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands from the Argentine invasion.

The short Service of Remembrance was held at the War Memorial in Salisbury. It was led by The Reverend Andrew McCafferty and was jointly organised by the Salisbury Royal Naval Association and the Salisbury & Amesbury Armed Forces Veterans Breakfast Club.

Wreaths were laid by the Deputy Mayor of Salisbury, the RNA, the AFVBC and the Royal Marines.
