Guided tours are being offered to people who are interested in finding out more about the River Park Project.
The tours, which are free, will be led by members of the Salisbury River Park team, who will explain the details of the project.
The Environment Agency has been working with Wiltshire Council, Salisbury City Council and partners to create a river park through the centre of Salisbury City Centre to protect and enhance the important landscape whilst looking to reduce the risk of flooding within the city.
The scheme focused on Ashley Road Open Space, Fisherton Recreation Ground, and land at The Malting and Central Car Park.
Those on the tours will be told how the project started, details about the construction work and the impact that the project will have on Salisbury.
The tours have limited spaces and will take place on three dates over the next three months:
- 20th January
- 27th February
- 17th March
We are being advised that booking is essential and that spaces are limited.
