Local pubs are being encouraged to contact Salisbury Radio if they are showing the Grand National this year.
The almost 200 year old race is the 4:00pm at Aintree this Saturday and is traditionally labelled the world's most famous steeplechase and regarded as the most-watched horse race on the planet.
If your pub or venue plans to show the race, please email: hello@salisburyradio.co.uk.
Salisbury Radio will give some free publicity to your Wiltshire and Hampshire venues both on-air and on this website.
The radio station would particularly like to hear from publicans who are running sweepstakes or have other fun activities planned around the annual event.
'Lottery' became the first winner of the Grand Liverpool Steeplechase in 1839, a race that would become known as the Grand National. Horses had to jump a stone wall, cross a stretch of ploughed land and finish over two hurdles.
