Go Wild to Celebrate Winter Wildlife Week at Longleat

There’s a host of wild activities to keep the kids fully entertained this February Half Term at Longleat’s brand new Winter Wildlife Week (11th-19th February).

Their all-weather indoor venue, The Longhouse, has had a glistening winter make-over and is filled with wildlife-inspired things to see and do including arts and crafts, animal meet and greets, awesome owl flying displays and even a very special pop-up mini skating rink.

The mini rink is perfect for younger children and for those who are more ‘Bambi on ice’ than seasoned skater, there’s plenty of skating aids to help them give it a whirl.

Join in with Junk Judie’s storytelling, art and mindfulness performances, get arty in the craft corner, try pottery painting, sand art* and transform into your favourite animal with the help of the facepainting team.

There’s also the chance to see some amazing wildlife images in Longleat’s Photographer of the Year Exhibition.

Next, set off on a journey of wildlife discovery around the Park, solving riddles along the way and finding special footprints the animals have left for you track down.

When your trail is complete, make your way to the Koalification Station, in honour of Longleat’s gorgeous new baby koala, to receive your certificate and prize.

Longleat's famous Drive Through Safari, animal and adventure attractions are all included in your Day Ticket too.

Whether it’s meerkats or macaws… tamarins or tigers, astonishing wildlife is waiting to welcome you back at every turn.

There’s so much more to explore at Longleat too – with a huge range of animal and adventure attractions for the whole family that includes the Longleat Railway and the ever-popular Hedge Maze.

Enjoy a wildly exciting adventure as you explore the world-famous Safari Park and experience extraordinarily close encounters with a host of exotic animals including big cats, zebras, rhinos, wolves and mischievous monkeys.

At the African Village you can jump out and walk, with opportunities to spot playful lemurs and the Park’s stunning Rothschild giraffes.

Step aboard the Boat Safari to see magnificent gorillas in their lakeside retreat. Enjoy the antics of playful sea lions as they keep pace with the boat and keep a watchful eye out for Longleat’s pair of resident hippos.

The Family Farmyard is the perfect place for younger animal lovers to come and meet some of their favourites including bunnies, donkeys, chickens and some more exotic critters from further afield.
