Final call on parking changes

Local residents are being urged to respond to a parking charges consultation before it closes on May 5.

The proposals include an average 20 per cent rise in parking charges next year, followed by a further increase in 2028.

Plans also suggest extending charging hours from 7am to 7pm and aligning Sunday charges with weekday tariffs.

The consultation is part of the council’s wider transport strategy and follows rising costs and inflation since charges were last reviewed in 2022.

Officials say no final decision has been made and are encouraging residents, businesses and community groups across Wiltshire to share their views.
