South Western Railway and Great Western Railway services from Salisbury will be affected due to engineering work this weekend.
Services to Southampton on both South Western Railway and Great Western Railway will be affected due to engineering work in the Southampton area.
SWR services that normally serve Southampton and Chandlers Ford will only run to Romsey over the whole weekend of Saturday, October 5th, and Sunday, October 6th. Great Western Services will run to Portsmouth but will travel via Chandlers Ford and Eastleigh, meaning passengers wishing to travel to other destinations on the route will be forced to use replacement bus services.
Salisbury to Romsey via Southampton services will run between Salisbury and Romsey only.
Passengers for Chandler’s Ford should travel on the diverted Great Western Railway services.

GWR trains will still run between Romsey and Fareham but will use an alternative route stopping at Chandlers Ford and Eastleigh.
Fast buses will run between Eastleigh, Southampton Airport Parkway and Bournemouth.
In addition, the lines between Axminster and Exeter will be closed all weekend due to maintenance work. This will affect trains passing through Salisbury.
- London Waterloo to Exeter services will terminate at Axminster.
- Buses will run between Axminster and Exeter.
GWR Customer Services Director Rachel Geliamassi said: “This improvement work forms part of an ongoing programme of maintenance, helping to ensure we can continue to provide consistent and reliable services.
“To keep people moving as quickly and efficiently as we can however, while this work is completed buses will replace trains and journey times may be a little longer, so please do check before you travel.”
