Jack Ball has returned to the Ray Mac on loan until the end of the season, the club has announced.
The defender, popular with supporters and players, joins Salisbury FC from Farnborough FC as Brian Dutton adds to his squad for this season's final promotion push.
Ball has played for the club before, joining from Hartney Whitney in the 2020/21 season.
Farnborough boss Spencer Day told their website, “The loan suits all parties and gives Bally the opportunity to regularly play and have a real shot of another promotion.
“He can then come back Pre-Season refreshed and ready to go again for Boro. I’m certainly not ready to say a goodbye to Bally so hope it works out down there and he’s back in a Boro shirt in the summer.”
Supporters have reacted favourably to the signing, Dave Todd said on Facebook, "Excellent addition to the squad. And it gives us the option of playing Tom Leggett as a holding midfielder again. Adds to the competition, as the squad was starting to look a bit light."
Salisbury sit second in the Southern League Premier South table with 10 games remaining with a four-point advantage over Gosport Borough, who lie in second place.
Ball arrives in time for the big top-of-the-table clash against Chesham United this weekend at the Ray Mac. It's a 3 pm kick-off on Saturday 9th March. Tickets are available on the Salisbury FC website - https://salisburyfc.co.uk/tickets/
