Coldharbour Lane track will be closed to vehicles whilst some necessary re-surfacing work is carried out for six weeks.
The work starts on 20th May 2024, allowing for the track to be repaired.
The track is in poor condition, and the works must take place for Salisbury City Council to keep it accessible for vehicles in the future.
The track provides access to both allotments and Riverside Tennis Club, as well as being used for parking.
In a statement, Salisbury City Council said, "[We] would like to apologise for the short notice period provided along with any inconvenience that this will cause during the closure.
"Unfortunately, we are unable to offer an alternative parking solution.
"The contractors have kindly agreed to allow vehicle access to the allotments and the tennis club between 4:30pm – 6:30pm Monday to Friday.
"Entry will be manned to limit use and people will be using the track at their own risk as the road surface will not be smooth."
