The resurfacing work on Coldharbour lane track is in the final stages, but the work is expected to overrun past the originally stated completion date.
The work was due to be completed by Sunday, June 30th, but it will now be extended by two to three weeks.
Salisbury City Council has apologised for any inconvenience that this may cause.
The path remains open for pedestrian access at all times.
Vehicular access is available between 4:30 and 6:30pm Monday to Sunday. The track is uneven and is to be used at the driver's own risk.
Salisbury City Council said, "We thank you again for your continued support and look forward to the improved road surface which will provide vehicle access to the allotments, tennis club, Scout hut and school for many years to come."
