City Flag to fly at Half Mast for Former Mayor

Salisbury City Council have expressed their condolences on the passing of former Mayor Mrs Kathleen Cooper–Joel.

In a statement, Salisbury City Council say it is saddened to learn of the death of Mrs Kathleen Cooper-Joel, who was the Mayor of the City of Salisbury between 1990-1991.

Mrs Cooper-Joel has died at the age of 96.

The City Council Councillors and staff pass on their sincere condolences to her family and friends.

The Mayor of the City of Salisbury, Cllr Tom Corbin said, “Kathleen maintained her love and interest in seeing the best for Salisbury and its people. She was very well known and respected and many will mourn her passing.”

The City Flag will be flown at half-mast on the Guildhall until sunset on the day of the funeral as a mark of respect.
