Animal Friends Insurance backs community ticket initiative at Salisbury FC

Animal Friends Insurance have joined Salisbury FC as a community partner to offer tickets to school pupils and their parents across Southern Wiltshire.

Based in Amesbury, Animal Friends Insurance are a multi-award-winning, affordable pet insurance company that supports animal welfare and insures over 1 million dogs, cats and horses.

The community partnership will see hundreds of tickets being distributed to local schools, allowing pupils, parents and guardians to attend Enterprise National League South games for free. This is the first step in a plan to see the club become more active in the local community.

Each school will be allocated one match in the upcoming season, with 50 pupils, plus their parents or guardians, attending the game. In addition, a selection of pupils will form a guard of honour with flags as the players emerge from the tunnel and onto the pitch at the Ray Mac, offering a unique experience as part of their visit to the ground.

Ben Pryce, Chief Operating Officer at Animal Friends Insurance, said, "We’re absolutely delighted to join forces with Salisbury Football Club for this impactful initiative, directly benefiting primary and secondary students across our local community.

"Since 1998, Animal Friends Insurance has been a committed part of Wiltshire, and the opportunity to engage with and inspire the next generation to embrace football, sport, and exercise perfectly aligns with our values of community wellbeing, empowerment, and development. It's a privilege to contribute to their journey."

Andy Munns, Press & Media Officer at Salisbury FC, said, "We are hugely grateful to the team at Animal Friends Insurance for backing this initiative. This is just the first step in our plans to engage more with the local community and work with local organisations for the good of both the community and the football club.

"We are looking forward to welcoming hundreds of pupils and parents to the Ray Mac, for some, it may be their first experience of football other than on school fields, playground or watching on TV.

"We hope it will generate a deeper love of the game and, of course, we will gain some new supporters of Salisbury FC."
