Amber weather warning for wind in Salisbury as storm Eunice approaches

The Met Office has issued an amber weather warning for wind in Salisbury as 100mph winds and heavy snow could hit parts of the UK tomorrow (Friday 18th February 2022).

The amber weather warning is in place all day tomorrow with Storm Eunice expected to cause significant disruption due to extremely strong winds.

The forecast predicts up to 64mph winds, with a 60 per cent chance of rain between 6am-7am and a 40% per cent chance of rain between 11am-12pm.

According to the Met Office, "Storm Eunice has now formed in the North Atlantic and will undergo a rapid intensification over the next 24 hours as it heads towards the UK."

For other parts of the Southwest and Wales, The Met Office has upgraded their severe weather warning to red – the highest level.
