More Information (Salisbury Radio is not responsible for external websites)

The writer of the Epistle to the Hebrews is among the most accomplished first-generation Christian theologians, ranking alongside St Paul and the fourth evangelist. Their exquisite rhetoric has proved a wealth of treasure throughout Church history. However, modern readers can find Hebrews difficult to access, with complex arguments and allusions to ancient Jewish culture.

Kenneth Padley, whose doctorate is on ‘A Reception History of the Letter to the Hebrews in England, 1547-1685’, will seek to prize open this important biblical book, its message and context, and unpack a little of what it might say today about Jesus, worship, and our ultimate destiny.
