Choir festival raised over £6k for charity

A choir festival in Salisbury has raised £6,500 for charity.

More than 2,000 people attended the Salisbury Festival of Choirs at St Thomas’s Church, featuring 18 groups.

Money raised will support the church and Beyond Dementia.

Organisers say the free event brought together a wide range of performers, from cathedral choirs to pop and sea shanty groups.

Plans are already underway for next year’s festival.
